About the Academy
Our Mission
The DFI Training Academy prepares inspectors to perform HUD NSPIRE Multi-Family Housing inspections with confidence and consistency.
Our curriculum is developed and taught by practicing Discovery Field Inspections inspectors — giving students a training experience grounded in the realities of the field, not the classroom.
The Program
A phased curriculum, aligned with HUD standards.
Training is delivered in structured phases that progress from NSPIRE fundamentals to field-ready inspection technique. Each phase combines study materials, recorded video instruction, and monitored live sessions, with attendance, participation, and grades tracked throughout.
Students who complete every phase receive a DFI Training Academy Certificate of Completion.
